Bosses from British Airways (BA) and airport operator BAA are set to face a House of Commons enquiry into the shambolic opening of Heathrow Terminal 5.
The House of Commons Transport Committee will hold a one-off session to hear evidence on the problems at the £4.3 billion terminal, to be held on May 7.
Earlier this week, the British Air Line Pilots' Association (BALPA) launched a withering attack on BA chiefs, including chief executive Willie Walsh, in a letter addressed to shareholders and government ministers.
Jim McAuslan, general secretary of BALPA, said: “Banks, institutional investors and analysts need to wake up to the fact that there is something very wrong right at the heart of this company that is making our once great brand a laughing stock.”
