British business specialist Eastern Airways is launching flights to the Norwegian oil town of Stavanger from Newcastle this summer.
The new service will run every weekday from May 12, with flights leaving Newcastle at 9.50am, arriving in Stavanger at 12.40pm local time. Flights will leave Stavanger at 1.10pm, landing in Newcastle at 2pm local time.
Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer, Chris Holliday, said: “This is major milestone in the development of our Newcastle services. After initially establishing a connecting service via Aberdeen, which showed there was demand for daily services between northeast England and Stavanger, business travellers will now be able to make significant time savings with our new, convenient non-stop flights from Newcastle.”
All passengers flying with Eastern Airways are able to use its dedicated fast track security channel at Newcastle to avoid any queues.
The airline also provides regular flights from Newcastle to Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Southampton and the Isle of Man.
