News: Record start to year for Eurostar

Eurostar is celebrating a record start to the year following its move to the spectacular new international terminus at London St Pancras.
The high-speed train operator carried almost 2.2million passengers in the first three months of this year - a 21 per cent increase from the opening quarter of 2007.
Faster journey times are the main reason for the surge in passenger numbers on the Eurostar. The trip between London and Paris has been cut down from 2 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, with services between London and Brussels slashed from 2 hours 30 mins to under two hours. Eurostar’s reliability has also hit a new peak since the opening of St Pancras International last November.
