News: Revamped London City departure lounge set to open

A major revamp of London City airport’s departure lounge is set to be completed at the start of June.
The multi-million pound facelift includes 12 new self-service check-in desks, 250 extra seats, more shops and an area with large TV screens. Passengers will also be able to enjoy a new 'airport concept' bar with free internet access.
London City’s boss, Richard Gooding, said: “The growth the airport has witnessed is largely credited to our convenient location on the doorstep of Canary Wharf and the City of London.
“Frequent flyers demand a premier service, and our proven record of transferring passengers to their destinations with ease and speed has ensured their continued loyalty.”
