Bankrupt business airline Silverjet is expected to be re-launched after its administrators agreed the terms of a deal with an investment company.
Irish-based Kingsplace said that if negotiations were successful, then it hoped to see Silverjet planes back in the skies in the next few weeks.
Kingsplace said it intends to honour existing customers' tickets and retain all staff.
Hit by soaring oil prices, Silverjet ceased operations last month.
When it suspended flights, almost 10,000 customers had to make alternative travel arrangements.
Silverjet founder Lawrence Hunt said: “We will be working around the clock to launch our New York and Dubai services as quickly as possible and we will make the announcement about the date for re-launching our services in due course.”
Silverjet operated twice daily flights from London Luton to New York Newark and daily services from Luton to Dubai.
