Jet2 has introduced fuel surcharges on its flights despite recent claims by its boss that it had bought its fuel for the next 12 months at "attractive rates".
The no-frills airline said the extra charges will vary depending on the distance of the flight involved.
A spokesman for the Leeds-based carrier said all Jet2's advertised fares, on its website and in the press, now included “all taxes and charges”.
Jet2 offer flights to more than 40 European destinations from six UK bases, with its package tour subsidiary Jet2holidays operating flights to Egypt and New York from Leeds Bradford.
