News: New Dusseldorf Weeze flights from Birmingham

Ryanair is launching daily flights from Birmingham International to Dusseldorf Weeze in Germany this winter.
The new Ryanair route takes off on October 27, but the Irish no-frills airline will face tough competition from Flybe and Lufthansa, which both operate higher frequency flights to the infinitely more convenient Dusseldorf International.
Weeze airport is situated almost 60 miles northwest of Dusseldorf, compared to Dusseldorf International, which is just six miles from the city centre and linked directly to Germany’s outstanding high-speed rail network.
A spokesman for Birmingham International airport said: “We are delighted that Ryanair have added Dusseldorf Weeze to their expanding portfolio.”
