News: BA launch New York JFK flights from Gatwick

British Airways (BA) have launched daily flights to New York JFK from London Gatwick.
BA is using a Boeing 777 aircraft on the new route in a four-class seat configuration: 14 First class; 48 Club World (business class); 40 World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and 124 World Traveller (economy).
Flights take off from Gatwick at 11.20am, arriving in New York at 2.15pm local time. Return flights leave JFK at 6pm, touching down at 6.05am the following morning.
The new service compliments BA’s existing flights to both JFK and New York Newark from London Heathrow. The airline’s domination of the hugely lucrative London to New York route will be further consolidated next year with the launch of business class-only flights to JFK from London City.
