Ryanair has threatened to scrap flights to a popular sunshine island destination in a dispute with local tourist bosses.
The Irish no-frills airline said it would scrap all its flights to and from the Canary Island of Fuerteventura from January 31 unless a local tourism group "honours a commercial agreement."
Ryanair has carried 250,000 people on nine routes to the island since 2006. It currently operates cheap flights to Fuerteventura from Birmingham, East Midlands, Liverpool and London Stansted in the UK, as well as Dublin and Shannon in the Republic of Ireland.
Earlier this month, Ryanair stopped most of its flights to Valencia in Spain after a row with the local tourist department.
