Regional specialist Aer Arann will replace Ryanair on the route between Blackpool and Dublin.
Ryanair is scrapping its Blackpool flights in protest at the introduction of a new £10 passenger charge.
The airport development fee (ADF) will be payable by all passengers over 16-years-old departing from Blackpool from January 5. The additional revenue will be used to fund a £2m development plan to upgrade runways, taxi-ways and the apron to improve customer facilities.
The move has prompted Ryanair to axe its daily flights to Dublin and its Girona route on January 4.
Blackpool Airport’s chief executive, David Kershaw, said: "The Dublin route is popular throughout the year and we have worked very hard to secure a replacement.”
