Easyjet will launch four new routes from London Gatwick to Cyprus, Italy, Croatia and Greece next summer.
Flights to Larnaca will start at the end of March, while flights to Naples, Dubrovnik and Santorini will begin in May.
Last week, Gatwick owners BAA announced that passenger numbers at the airport in November were down 13.5 per cent on the same month last year, but Easyjet is confident there is still potential for growth.
The no-frills airline’s UK regional general manager, David Osborne, said: “Easyjet has grown dramatically at Gatwick over the last few years and this will further strengthen our position at Gatwick, which is our biggest single airport base.”
