News: MSP offers handy advice for finding the best Shetland flight deals

People looking for Shetland Isles flights have been advised to search both the Flybe and British Airways websites in order to get the best price.
Shetland MSP Tavish Scott said he had been contacted by islanders reporting that flights to London booked through BA could be more than £100 cheaper than the same flights booked on the Flybe website.
Shetland flights are actually operated by Loganair, a former BA subsidiary which now has a franchise agreement with Flybe. But, BA has a codeshare deal with Loganair meaning that their tickets are still sold on the BA website.
Mr Scott said customers should shop between the two websites in order to get the best deal.
"Everyone should remember that, although the Loganair planes now fly with Flybe paintwork, Loganair still offers the option of booking through flights on the BA system," he said.
