Beauvais airport in northern France will be closed for one week from June 3.
Work is being carried out to upgrade the airport’s landing systems in order to allow more flights to land safely in adverse weather conditions.
The only airline currently using Beauvais is Ryanair. The no-frills carrier offers Beauvais flights from Bournemouth, East Midlands, Glasgow Prestwick and Liverpool.
Ryanair has said it will contact all affected passengers via email to offer them alternative flights or a full refund.
A spokesman for the airline said: “These essential upgrade works will benefit all passengers in the long-term and will help to ensure that Ryanair passengers suffer fewer adverse weather related disruptions on flights to/from Beauvais.”
