News: Virgin Atlantic scoops two SkyTrax awards

Virgin Atlantic has scooped two gongs at the prestigious SkyTrax World Airline Awards.
For the fourth year running, the airline won the Best Business Class Lounge Award for its flagship ‘Clubhouse’ at Heathrow and Best Premium Economy Class for its Premium Economy cabin.
Research company Skytrax has interviewed millions of travellers over the last year about subjects ranging from the quality of cabin staff and catering to in-flight entertainment and business lounges.
The awards are renowned for being the only truly global independent passenger survey of airline standards.
A Virgin Atlantic spokesman said: “Winning the Best Business Class Lounge four years in a row is a stunning achievement and proves that the Clubhouse at Heathrow is a real hit with passengers and has no equal.
“Virgin Atlantic was the first airline to introduce Premium Economy back in the early nineties and winning this award proves that we are still ahead of the game when it comes to providing something for business travellers on a budget or leisure travellers looking for a little extra luxury.”
