Aer Lingus is suspending flights to five destinations from Belfast International this winter.
The Irish airline’s flights from Belfast to Barcelona, Faro, Milan Malpensa, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Rome Da Vinci will be put on hold for four months over the winter period.
Aer Lingus said it was not unusual for airlines to reduce schedules in the winter, adding that it remained committed to flying from Belfast and would be launching flights to Tenerife from the Northern Irish airport later this year. The carrier added that flights will be reduced from Dublin with a number of aircraft taken out of the fleet.
