Lufthansa is to resume flights between Newquay and Dusseldorf in Germany later this month.
The German national airline’s regional franchise partner Eurowings will operate a weekly service every Saturday throughout the summer using 42-seater Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft. The reinstated route takes off on June 20.
Lufthansa vice president, Oliver Wagner, said: “The southwest region of the UK is well known to German tourists owing to the popularity of the Rosamunde Pilcher novels that have been made into a TV drama series here.”
There are currently no other airlines operating flights to Dusseldorf or anywhere else in Germany from Newquay.
