News: Loganair scraps flights between Belfast City and Blackpool

Loganair is axing its flights between Belfast City and Blackpool due to poor sales on the route.
The domestic airline, which is a franchise carrier of Flybe, is also reducing the number of flights it operates to the Isle of Man.
The Blackpool/Belfast City flights will stop on July 12, just five months after the route was launched.
A Loganair spokesman said: “The economic situation has worsened in the last few months and this has led to the expected levels of demand for our new services failing to materialise despite the hugely competitive fares.”
All customers with forward reservations on the services will be contacted and advised of the changes by Flybe.
