News: Virgin Atlantic launches Puerto Rico flights

Virgin Atlantic will start weekly flights from London Gatwick to the Puerto Rican capital San Juan on Saturday (November 7).
San Juan is Virgin’s ninth Caribbean destination, complimenting existing flights to Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, Grenada, Tobago, Havana, Montego Bay and Kingston.
Nick Parker, Virgin Atlantic Country Manager for the Caribbean, said: “Our new, unique service means that passengers can benefit from all that this beautiful island has to offer including exotic local hideaways and miles of white sandy beaches, mountains and valleys.
“Our passengers will be spoilt for choice by the range of top class hotels, fine dining and excellent water sports in this tropical paradise.”
Flights from Gatwick leave every Saturday at 9.25am, arriving into San Juan at 4.05pm local time. Return flights leave San Juan at 6.05pm, arriving into London Gatwick at 8.35am the following morning.
There are currently no other airlines operating scheduled flights to Puerto Rico from the UK.
