Etihad Airways has been named the world's leading airline at the World Travel Awards. The Abu Dhabi-based carrier also picked up the top prize in the category covering first class services.
Qatar Airways was voted the world's best business class carrier this year and easyJet was recognised as the leading budget operator, while Virgin Atlantic received an award for its transatlantic flights.
President and founder of the World Travel Awards, Graham Cooke, said: "Today's winners have proved themselves to be the best in the world and the number one choice of travel professionals and consumers alike.”
