News: Awards keep rolling in for Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic has won another best airline gong to add to its recent success with a haul of travel industry awards.
Within the last week Virgin Atlantic, which is celebrating its 25th birthday this year, has won Best Long-Haul Scheduled Airline and Best Business/First Class at the British Travel Awards, Best Transatlantic Airline at the World Travel Awards and Best Airline at the Holiday Extras Awards.
The long-haul specialist’s chief executive, Steve Ridgway, said: “These recent awards are testament to Virgin Atlantic’s continued popularity and recognition as the world’s favourite airline. 25 years after our first flight this shows we are still red hot, offering passengers unbeatable and award-winning service on the ground and in the air.”
Elsewhere this year Virgin Atlantic has picked up awards from Conde Nast Traveller, Sunday Times Travel Magazine UltraTravel, Business Traveller and SkyTrax.
