News: Bmi to cut back Dublin flights from London

Bmi is cutting the number of flights it operates between London Heathrow and Dublin at the end of March.
From March 28 the frequency of bmi flights between the two capitals will be reduced from six to four per day.
“The move will significantly reduce the operational costs of this service, whilst enhancing its competitiveness in a very challenging market,” a bmi spokesman said yesterday. He added that the decision was part of a restructuring to its mainline operations as it tries to return the company to profitability.
In response Aer Lingus is likely to add one flight a day to its Heathrow-Dublin schedule during the summer holiday season.
