The threat of strikes by British Airways (BA) staff over the Easter holidays appears to have been lifted.
The Unite union said no action would occur over Easter because it wanted "families to be able to plan their travel arrangements in confidence".
Planned strikes over Christmas were halted after a court challenge. The new strike ballot among cabin crew opened this morning (January 25) and concludes on February 22.
However BA said it was not reassured.
BA said it was not reassured by the union’s promise. A BA statement said: "According to Unite's ballot timetable, it is threatening the travel plans of families and business people from March 1. Assurances about an unspecified Easter holiday period will be of little comfort to them.”
