Qantas is planning to slash the size of its first class cabins in favour of boosting the number of economy seats.
The Australian national airline plans to strip out two thirds of its first class seats in a bid to increase economy capacity by 20 per cent.
According to newspaper reports in Australia, Qantas will completely remove first class cabins from all of its Boing 747-400 fleet, leaving 14 first-class seats in just 12 Airbus A380 super jumbos.
Qantas confirmed it was in talks about implementing changes to its fleet, but did not give further details.
