News: Virgin scrap Mauritius flights
Flights > News > # 2412 (09/02/2010)
Virgin Atlantic is axing its flights from London Heathrow to Mauritius this spring.
The long-haul specialist currently operates twice-weekly flights between London and Mauritius, but the service comes to an end on April 24. Virgin Atlantic have not yet revealed why the route has been cancelled.
Virgin first launched Mauritius flights in October 2007, but has faced stiff competition from British Airways and Air Mauritius, both of whom have been long established on the route.
Passengers booked on Mauritius flights after April 24 will either be offered a full refund or convenient alternative flights with Air Mauritius.
